Portrait of Slaton Case

Slaton Case, MD

I’m a primary care physician in San Francisco, where I care for patients from Laurel Heights, Presidio Heights, and Pacific Heights. I’m interested in how the American healthcare system shapes medicine.

I attended Emory College before managing hospital computer systems as a Technical Coordinator with Epic Systems. I earned my MD at Northwestern University and completed my Internal Medicine residency in Hawaii.

Some recent projects include ForTheWards, a grant-funded, AI communications tool for medical students to practice difficult conversations. I’m also the author of ForTheBoards and Someone You Love Is Becoming a Doctor.

In my free time, I explore Northern California’s tide pools and sketch. I also spend weekends camping, and I’m slowly working my way through the city’s bakeries.
